An Art Deco Bracelet attributed to the esteemed jeweller Raymond C. Yard, composed of a wide band with 4 removable brooches: Clown, Melodion Player, Bouquet of Flowers, and Hobo, as well as an additional fixed sailboat appliqué, decorated with pavé-set diamonds and various carved, faceted, and cabochon gemstones . 18k yellow gold, platinum, diamond, ruby, emerald, sapphire and moonstone. 67.3 dwt total weight. Yard began his career at the age of 13 as a messenger boy for a New York jeweller, and over the next 24 years he worked his way up the ranks to become one of their best artists. Rockefeller encouraged him to open his own firm on Fifth Avenue in 1922. He catered to some of the most prominent families in the country, and is best known for his pins depicting miniature figures and animals, such as the four attached to this bracelet. Yard's work can be found in numerous museums and private collections.
